We are La Voz: Resiliance Through Art

We’re seeking Latina(e) fiber artists within 100 miles of Ithaca, NY for "We Are La Voz" Resilience Through Art, a juried exhibition celebrating the intersection of textile-based art and social justice. This exhibit will highlight the voices of women of color in fiber arts and feature local artists alongside video interviews with Colombian artists, creating a global conversation about resilience, identity, and justice.

Accepting Works In:

  • Fiber/mixed media paintings
  • Soft sculpture
  • Appliqué
  • Beading
  • Embroidery
  • Quilting

Exhibition Details:

Deadline to Apply: March 29
Notification of Acceptance: March 31
Opening Reception: May 2 (5–8 PM)
Artist Talks & Workshops: May 15, 16, 22, 23 (6–8 PM)
Closing Reception: May 30 (5–8 PM)

Eligibility & Submission Guidelines:

Open to Latina(e) artists.
Works must be recent (within 2 years), ready to hang (wired), and under 5 lbs.
Artists may submit up to 4 pieces (larger works cannot exceed 40” x 40”).
100% of sales go directly to the artists!
Selected artists may have the opportunity to lead a paid community workshop.
